Microneedling

Microneedling is a skin treatment that activates the production of collagen and elastin. This treatment also has many other benefits, such as in the treatment of enlarged skin pores, skin structure and fine wrinkles. In the microneedling treatment, small microchannels are made in the skin, through which active substances are absorbed into the skin, which firm, smooth and brighten the skin and cure various skin problems.

The active substances absorbed into the skin mainly consist of deeply moisturizing hyaluronic acid and various antioxidants and vitamins. The treatment combination is selected individually according to the needs of your skin.

Microneedling is especially suitable for treating the following skin problems:

  • Acne

  • Rosacea and couperosa

  • Acne and other scars

  • Oily and large pore skin

  • Aged and sun damaged skin

  • Pigment changes

  • Dull and tired skin

Microneedling and scar treatments

Scar treatments use a combination of BioRePeel acid and microneedling. One treatment already renews the skin effectively. Chemical peeling alone is an effective form of skin-stimulating treatment, but when the skin needs a more radical change, such as smoothing the skin's surface, then a combination treatment is chosen. The acid applied through the microchannels can be absorbed deeper into the skin and thus has a significant effect on the condition of the skin. Combined treatment is an effective treatment for reducing wrinkles and scars, treating pigment changes, and treating enlarged skin pores.

Treatment and after treatment:

The microneedling treatment starts with cleansing, after which the surface of the skin is treated with enzymatic peeling. Microneedling is performed on the entire face and neck using an active substance or acid chosen specifically for your skin, if a combination treatment is performed. At the end of the treatment, a soothing and moisturizing mask is applied to the skin and serums and creams are absorbed.

Redness occurs for about 1 day. Recovery from the treatment takes about 5-7 days, during which the skin may peel. During this time, saunas and profuse sweating should be avoided. The use of sunscreen is necessary because the treatment sensitizes to the sun. The skin is at its best about a week after the treatment.

The best results are obtained 3-5 times with serial treatments, which are done approximately 3-5 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments can be renewed approximately every 3-6 months, according to the needs of the skin.

When the treatment is not suitable:

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding

  • Autoimmune diseases

  • Acute inflammatory disease

  • Active herpes

  • Local skin infections in the area planned for treatment

  • During the course of Roaccuta or if less than 6 months have passed since the course

Good to note after the treatment:

  • Saunas and sweaty exercise should be avoided for 24 hours

  • Avoid washing your face and unnecessary touching for 4-5 hours

  • No make-up on the skin the day after the treatment

  • The use of strong peels and retinol cream should be avoided for 1 week

  • Change a clean pillowcase at home after the treatment
